"Uh-huh," Desiree said softly shaking her head, and then, she turned her attention back on the subject of her contempt.: Riley.
"Last warning," Desiree added, a note of irritation in her voice."Release her at once And in case you haven't noticed us two against one of you. The odds are not exactly in your favor."
"Don't forget about me," Genevieve chimed in. "If I counted correctly there's three of us against one of her. Just saying.
Riley rolled her eyes. "Temper. Temper.Why so grouchy, Runekeeper? In all honesty, your friend here is merely a means to an end. She's what one might call bait. And here we are."
Desiree wanted to throttle her.
"You think this is some kinda game we're playing? she retorted, her voice low and fierce. "You mean to tell me this entire time your plan was to lure me here? What then, kill me. Not original. You know, all you had to do was ask me politely."
Lowering her head as if appearing to make her neck shrink, and biting down upon her lips, Riley spoke. "Well, can't blame a girl for trying, right? And by the way, it did work. Got you here, didn't it?"
Tell me why I shouldn't put you down right now?" Desiree warned. "Take you out of your misery once and for all."
In place of an answer, an evil grin formed upon the female lycan's thin lips. she swiftly shoved Genevieve forward, whose own momentum made her nearly colliding into Desiree, who had the presence of mind to stop her friend with one hand, while maintaining her grip upon the crossbow, with the other. Desiree All the while, kept the weapon trained on Riley.
"Bravo, Runekeeper," Riley said, clapping her hands, and pacing back and forth before she came to a stop. "I had no idea you was this talented. I mean, don't get me wrong, to be able to save your friend, and at the same time not bat an eye. I'm impressed."
